Jelly is a western sweet with a soft and smooth taste. Because it is easy to carry, it is the first choice for outings. Nowadays, easy-to-suck jelly packaging needs good airtightness, otherwise it is easy to leak at the seal and suction nozzle. The leak tester tests the overall sealing performance of the finished jelly package, and introduces the basic process of the test, the test principle and the scope of application of the test equipment, so as to verify the sealability of jelly package and help food companies effectively solve product leakage and deterioration. Problems and parameter settings in the production process.

Packaging Sealing performance of the packaging bag to prevent other substances from entering or the content from escaping. If the packaging is poorly sealed, the packaging will leak or be damaged during the long-term circulation and storage after leaving the factory, causing the content quality problems such as mildew and swelling of the bag occur, and enterprises are therefore exposed to greater risks and economic losses. Therefore, the sealing problem of packaging has always been a major problem that plagues enterprises. This article introduces the test method of the sealing performance of the aluminum-plastic packaging jelly, and provides relevant companies with a reasonable and effective method for verifying the sealing performance of the finished product package.

Leak Tester LTY-01

Test standards and instruments

The main domestic testing standards for packaging sealing performance are GB/T 15171-1994 "Test Methods for Sealing Performance of Flexible Packages".

The sealing performance test of the jelly aluminum-plastic composite packaging bag is completed by the LTY-01 leak tester independently developed and designed by Link Testing Instruments Co.,ltd.

Test principle: By vacuuming the vacuum chamber of the equipment, the sample immersed in the water in the vacuum chamber generates a pressure difference between inside and outside, and checking whether the sample has air leakage, so as to judge the sealing performance of the sample; or by checking the vacuum chamber Apply a vacuum to generate a pressure difference between the inside and outside of the sample, and determine the sealing performance of the sample by observing the sample's shape recovery after the sample expands and releases the vacuum.

Test sample and test process

Test sample: A finished product package of jelly aluminum-plastic composite film provided by a food factory.

Experimental procedure:

(1) Immerse the sample in the water in the vacuum chamber.

(2) Close the sealing cover, set the vacuum pressure parameter -89 KPa and the pressure holding time to be reached.

(3) Turn on the vacuum pump, start vacuuming, and press the start button on the equipment to start the test.

(4) Observe whether continuous bubbles are generated on the packaging surface during the vacuuming process or during the pressure holding process.

Test results and analysis

When the three jelly finished packaging bags tested in this article were at -42 ~ -48 KPa, air leakage occurred at the heat seal of the shoulder, and the sealing performance was poor.

Through the testing of the tightness of the packaging of 3 bags of finished products, it was found that all the packages leaked under low negative pressure, which easily caused quality problems such as leakage, mold and swelling of the finished product packaging, which indicated that food companies should strengthen the packaging of finished products Seal performance testing before leaving the factory. In addition, the barrier performance, heat seal strength, peel strength, tensile strength and pendulum impact energy should be strengthened to test.
