In recent years, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards in our country, snack have become indispensable foods for people's life, leisure and tourism. Pastries are made of flour or rice flour, sugar, fat, eggs, dairy products, etc. as the main raw materials, with various auxiliary materials, fillings and seasonings, and are made into exquisite foods through steaming, baking, frying, and frying. The pastries are crispy Tasty characteristics.

Most snacks on the market use inflatable packaging to ensure that the product can be cushioned and protected when it is squeezed, dropped, etc., to prevent the product from deforming or breaking; some inflatable packaging uses nitrogen filling to ensure that the cake is not easily oxidized , The shelf life is also extended. Inflatable packaging is a packaging that fills a certain amount of gas into the plastic composite film bag. If the packaging is not impact resistant, the product is prone to breakage under external force during the sales and circulation links. Therefore, the packaging has impact resistance. One of the important performance indicators for factory acceptance of finished product packaging quality.

Leakage and Sealing Strength Tester LTMFY-06S

Test standards and instruments

China has not yet issued a test method standard for the burst pressure of inflatable packaging. This article refers to the relevant American standard ASTM F1140 "Test Method for Resistance to Internal Pressure Damage of Unconstrained Packaging".

The instrument selected for the test is the LTMFY-06S leakage and sealing strength tester independently developed and designed by Link Testing Instruments Co., Ltd.

Test principle: Testing the burst pressure of the packaging bag is to facilitate the understanding of the test sample that can withstand the maximum pressure value and the part with poor pressure resistance of the sample. Therefore, during the test, it is necessary to continue to test the sample on the basis of ensuring good sealing of the inflated insertion point on the sample surface Fill the inside with gas until the sample ruptures, thereby obtaining the burst pressure of the sample, and the position where the sample ruptures is the part that bears other poor pressures.

Test sample and test process

Test sample: a finished cake inflatable package provided by a food factory.

Experimental procedure:

(1) Paste a sealing rubber gasket on the middle of the sample surface.

(2) Pass the inflator head through the rubber pad and insert it into the package. Note that during the inflating process, it cannot damage other parts of the sample surface.

(3) Set the parameters and click the test option to start the test.

(4) When the sample is filled with a certain amount of gas until the sample ruptures or the gas leakage test stops, the equipment automatically records the maximum burst pressure value.

Test results and analysis

The burst pressures of the test samples in this article were 38.2 KPa, 37.9 KPa, and 38.6 KPa, and the rupture positions were all on the surface of the bag.

From the above results, it can be seen that the internal gas pressure on the surface of the product bag is relatively small. If the product is impacted by external forces during the circulation and sales links, it will easily cause damage to the surface of the bag. Therefore, food manufacturers should strengthen the packaging The monitoring of bag burst pressure can help reduce the deformation or breakage of the product. LTMFY-06S Leakage and Sealing Strength Tester is a professional tester for blasting pressure of inflatable pastry packaging. Its equipment is simple to operate and has high test accuracy.
